Introduction
KSMU is an International
University with 200 years of experience in medical training in which around 700
students from 57 countries are studying and half of them are studying in
English. Moreover, the university is also having students from the neighboring
and remote areas of Russia. It is proud of KSMU that young people from
different parts of the world are attracted to KSMU and this is the reason the
university priority is to support and care for international students.
At present KSMU are having 5,500
medical students clinical residents and interns. Also, the university is having
9 faculties, 65 departments, and a staff of more than 1500 people. In a
student’s life, choosing a university for their present and future life is a
tough decision which makes them an adult. And if students want to be a part
of a foreign university then he or she would become a part of the minority. In
another perspective, it is also an opportunity to meet and make friends from
all over the world. By this students can also learn how to deal with obvious
challenges which include language barriers and being far from home. It also
includes the cultural differences in academic and social as well. Choosing the
university is truly overwhelming for both parents and students.
It is the third oldest Medical
University in Russia after Moscow and St. Petersburg. This is the only
university which is recognized by the Ministry of Healthcare and Ministry of
Education and Science of the Russian Federation. It is a government-funded university
and the only university in Kazan which is recognized by WHO and listed in the
World Directory of Medical Schools. It is also recognized by ECFMG and the leading
medical councils viz. AMC, GMC, MCI, etc.
Course & Eligibility
- Candidate must have passed their 10+2(sr. secondary education) with a minimum of 50% (45% for reserved category) marks with PCB from any recognized board.
- Admission will be on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance exam (NEET).
- NEET Cutoff (2020) - NEET Score must be for General Categories - 147 Marks & For Reserved Categories - 113 Marks

- Sports: - The institute has both indoor and outdoor sports facilities on the campus like table tennis, basketball, volleyball, swimming pool, etc.

- Computer lab: - The institute has a well-equipped computer lab on the campus with the latest computer machines and tools.
- Gym: - The institute has a gym in the campus with modern machines and tools like dumbbells, treadmill.
Hostel Description
The university has total 6 hostels in the university in which the university is providing well- furnished rooms with all the necessary facilities like a bed, mattress, cafeteria, WIFI Internet facility etc.. All dormitories provide conditions for living, studying and leisure. There are reading rooms, recreation rooms, gyms, sports grounds, a leisure center, Internet access. The territories of the dormitories are protected. - The hostels are available in two and three sharing occupancies in rooms. Students can choose one of them based on their needs, requirement, and budget. The number of rooms is limited, and, therefore, early applications will be given priority. International students may live in the students’ dorm or have an apartment or a room arranged for them by the University. But the living conditions are rather Spartan: one kitchen, two toilets, shower in the basement. Students cannot select their rooms.
