Introduction

Kharkiv National Medical University (KNMU) was established in 1805 with the name Medical faculty of Kharkiv University, it was later renamed Kharkiv State Medical University and presently it is known as Kharkiv National Medical University (KNMU).
The university is providing the best infrastructure for its students and the quality facilities like good and spacious hostels, libraries, modern classrooms, etc. Moreover, the university is providing a healthy and friendly environment on the campus for its students. The institute has various other activity centers in the campus like gym, separate sports complex, etc. The University believes in the  overall development of every student and thus organizes various personality development programs such as Seminars, Debates, Conferences and Student Exchange programs. Apart from personality development programs, the University organizes various sports and cultural events and also
encourages students to partake in these activities.
KNMU is one of the best medical universities in Ukraine for global students to study medicine in Ukraine. The degree of MBBS of KNMU is esteemed and it is recognized everywhere throughout the world. The university has been effectively preparing medicinal students and medical experts from throughout the world since 1961. Since 1951 the University has been training doctors for various countries of Europe, Asia, Africa. As of now, 4600 foreign student study at KNMU(Medical/Dentistry/Pharmacy Faculties, and PG course). For the record, more than 7500 international students have been graduated from KNMU since 1951. the University is preparing medical personnel for countries of Eastern Europe, China, and Mongolia, and since 1961 it has been preparing students from other countries of Asia, Africa, and Latin America. At present, there area round 3400 international students in the Kharkiv National Medical University who study at the Preparatory Department, Medical, Nursing and Dental Faculties, undergo postgraduate and clinical post-graduate (residency) courses as well as professional probation at departments of the University in Dental, therapy, orthopedics, surgery, oncology, urology, psychiatry, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynecology, as well as other medical specialties. The University has trained more than 5000 specialists for 86 states of Europe, Asia, Latin America, Middle East countries. Among them, there are 3 Doctors and 70 Candidates of Medical Science, around 200 clinical post-graduates.


Course & Eligibility

  • PCB percentage should be 60% and above. English marks should 60 and above. Minimum Age to apply is 17 years by 31st Dec of the admission year.
  • NEET Score must be for General Categories - 134 Marks & For Reserved Categories - 107 Marks

• The required digital photograph above the shoulder in a white background. It should show a close up of your face and the top of your shoulders so that your face takes up between 70% - 80% of the face. ( Kindly share clear scan copy over email ID provided by your counselor) 
• Required 6 passport size photographs should be 35mm x 45mm in Width and Height over matt paper with a white background.  
➢ Bank Statement of Father or Mother (PLEASE NOTE: Passbook copy is not acceptable) 
• 6 months original bank statement with Bank Stamp on it. 
• Minimum closing balance not less than Rs. 4.5 Lakhs. 
• In case an account is opened less than 6 months then a letter from the bank manager stating when the account was opened. 
➢ If the student has a Bank statement of himself or herself it is acceptable 
• 6 months original bank statement with Bank Stamp on it. 
• Minimum balance not less than Rs. 3.5 Lakhs.

➢ Sponsorship Affidavit on an Rs. 10 stamp paper (Original). This is applicable only if parents provide their Bank Statement, no need in case student provide his/her bank statement. ➢ Minor affidavit on Rs. 10 Stamp Paper from Father and Mother if Student is below 18 years old.

Hostel Description

There are 6 hostels in the university campus. The university offers single, double, and triple sharing fully-furnished rooms to the students. Hostels are guaranteed for all the international students who will receive an academic offer from the university. There are two types of accommodation options for the students and now it is up to them whether they choose an independent lifestyle outside the hostel or living inside the university hostel with the student community. Some of the important points of the hostel are: -
  1. University distance from Hostel: - There are only 5 mins of walking distance in between the main campus of the university and the hostel.
  2. Room occupancy info: - The hostels are available in single, double, and triple sharing occupies in rooms. Students can choose one of them based on their needs, requirement,budget, and availability.
  3. Basic Amenities: - There are a lot of facilities in the hostel for the students as they are providing the well-furnished rooms with WIFI internet facilities to make the student feel comfortable. Rooms may vary in size and facilities. All the rooms are equipped with necessary amenities like bed, mattress, pillow, desk, chair, heater, lightening, etc which help students to study and relaxation.
  4. Laundry room info: - Each floor of every hostel is having a common laundry room that can be used by every student on that particular floor.
  5. Kitchen and Washroom and Toilet info: - Every room of each hostel is having an attached kitchen that can be used by every student of that particular floor. Kitchens are shared with 2-3 electric burners, and a microwave, where students can cook their meals whenever they want to do.
  6. Washroom and Toilet info: - There is an attached washroom and an attached toilet is there with every room.
  7. Boy and Girl Division info: - Boys and girls hostels are not separate but each hostel shaving separate floors for both boys and girls.
  8. Security info: - All the hostels are very safe and secure as they have security cameras,hostel guards in every hostel for the students safety.
  9. Indian Mess availability info: - Indian mess and food are there in the hostels for the students and they are providing healthy and nutritious food to every student and staff.
  10. Gym info: - The university has a gym in the campus with modern machines and tools like dumbbells, treadmill, etc.

  • 1 USD =INR 65 (approx for calculation) Actual rate at the time of fees payment will be calculated.
