Anwer Khan Modern Medical College
Reaching health care to every citizen is a millennium development goal and Bangladesh has achieved a great success in this. The present government has developed the healthcare system from union Parishad to Upazilla, District, Divisional level through community health clinic, Upazilla health complex, District & Divisional Hospital and Medical College Hospital both government & private. Doctors and supporting health care professional like nurse, Paramedics, auxiliary staff, Technologists are the backbone of the health care delivery system. At present the doctor population ratio in Bangladesh is only 1:3125.
Till now the available seats in MBBS, medical colleges, public & private sector together is far short of meeting the requirement of the country. In our country a large number of students are willing to take part in the health care system, which is evidenced by the large number of applicants for admission tests in medical colleges. Unfortunately most of the eligible candidates are deprived from the opportunity of getting admitted in the medical colleges of Bangladesh due to lack of enough seats.

Hostel Description
This MBBS College has separate hostel accommodation for male and female students. The hostel is within the college campus and it takes only a few minutes to reach the college. The rooms are well designed and suitable for students to stay. The authority offers the hostel at low cost. Students can stay the whole educational year in medical colleges.

Class Rooms
There are 5 large fully air conditioned class rooms. In addition, there are departmental tutorial rooms attached with the respective departments. The Anatomy Dissection Hall is fully air conditioned.
The laboratories of various departments like Pathology, Biochemistry, etc are well equipped with instruments.
Audiovisual Equipment
Each class is provided with overhead projector, slide projector and microphone system. In addition, multimedia projectors and computers are also available for teaching.

Library
The MBBS College has a modern fully air conditioned library with Internet facilities. The library has a collection of over 1565 books including expensive latest journals. It subscribes 16 international medical journals on an annual basis.
The library has accommodation for seating 100 students and 15 teachers at any given time. The Medical Education Unit (MEU) is attached to the library.
MEU has computers for use by students and faculty members. Fax, Internet and E-mail facilities are freely available and are widely used.
