College of Medical Sciences, (COMS) Bharatpur is the first pioneer medical college to get letter  of Intent in the year 1993 and enrolled the 1st batch of MBBS students admissions in the year 1996 and is the centre of excellence for providing advanced yet affordable and quality medical education. It is affiliated to the Kathmandu University and is recognized by the Nepal Medical Council, Sri Lanka Medical Council, and the General Medical Council of Great Britain (UK). It is also enlisted in the WHO’s World Directory of Medical Schools and FAIMER, USA.

It’s been run by the Indian Management established by Shri Nagender K.Pampati and Dr.V.Natraj Prasad.

Course & Eligibility

Must have completed 10+2, or equivalent qualifications, with a minimum of 50% of marks in each subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology(PCB) (Which in general 50% is equal to ‘C’ grades for Sri Lankan A-Level and ‘D’ grades for International A Levels like EDEXCEL/London) and also 50% in aggregate


Completed Bachelor of Science Degree, recognized by the University, with one of the following subjects viz. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and at least one other prescribed science subject of study up to the ancillary level and having scored not less than an overall aggregate of 50%marks, provided that such candidate shall have passed the earlier qualifying examination (10+2 or an equivalent examination) with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology


Completed requisite course equivalent to I. Sc. (Biological Group) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, as main subjects after Certificate Level in Health Sciences from Dhulikhel Medical Institute, Kathmandu University and having a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and not less than 50% of marks in each subject of Physics, Chemistry and, Biology (PCB).

In 2021, NEET cutoff passing marks for general category is 720-138, while for SC/ST/OBC it is 137-108.

Hostel Description

There are three-hostel campuses separate for Boys and Girls:

  • Bageshwori (Juniors)
  • Chitwan Keyman (Juniors)
  • Kshetrapur (Senior Girls + Interns)

There are separate enclaves for  male and female students. The Boy’s and Girl’s hostel wardens are housed within these blocks as well as some senior professors are also accommodated in the Campus. There is a guest room for the parents of the students and a waiting room has been provided for other visitors. The campus Hospital which is attended to by qualified doctors provides emergency medical services to the students and staff whenever it is required. One vehicle is always placed in the campus to meet emergency needs and to take students and staff to the hospital in case hospitalization is required. All Hostels provides good mess/canteen facilities to both students and staff with various types of food preparations such as Nepali, South Indian, North Indian, Chinese, Continental and others. The food is prepared under stringent hygienic supervision and is of a high quality by way of both nutrition and taste.
