Introduction

Community Based Medical College, which imparts MBBS education to both local and international students, was established at Mymensingh in 1995. The Commuunity health foundation was founded by thirty eminent philanthropic persons of different profession and position under the leadership of late professor Dr. AIM Mafakhkharul Islam. Community health foundation Bangladesh is the permanent campus of Community Based Medical College at Mymensingh in the area of about 4 acres.

The Community Based Medical College (CBMC) which is an academic enterprise of Community Health Foundation (CHFB), is a dream come true as well as a real endeavor, to contribute modestly within the gamut of Health and Science the overall national efforts in achieving a self-sustaining quality of life and healthy environment. Aimed at serving the community, in health sector by providing facilities that are beyond their reach particularly by those whose financial means were not sufficient to afford.

Community Based Medical College Bangladesh (CBMCB) is an academic enterprise of Community Health Foundation (CHFB). Our vision is to emerge as an institution that shall contribute modestly within the parameter of health and science, the overall national efforts in achieving a meaningful, self-sustain quality of life and environment for the people by addressing community health problems with evidence based, outcome driven and outcome oriented academic initiatives.

Community Based Medical College Bangladesh is located at Winnerpar, 10km. ahead of Mymensingh town adjacent to Dhaka-Mymensingh highway Road. By road from Dhaka and Mymensingh town by easily available public transport. It's about one hour journey from Mymensingh town to the college for the transport. The college will be opened on 30th June, 2016.
