Introduction

Delta Medical College was established almost a decade back and Professor Dr. Syed Mukarram Ali, internationally renowned histopathologist is the founder of the university.

The College offers 5-year both MBBS and BDS degrees. The curriculum is at par to what the the requirements has been set by Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC), which is the registering body for doctors in Bangladesh. The Governing Body of the college is comprised of representatives from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Dhaka University and Trustee Board.

Teaching staff are the mentors to supervise and guide the students throughout the process. Academic schedule is strictly followed based on academic calendar and there are also different extra-curricular activities. Delta provides a unique character of friendliness with non-partisan and highly academic environment. The college campus is located in Mirpur-1 in Dhaka. The college is housed in its own 10 storied building and the hospital is within the same premises. DLMC has a 350-bedded multi-disciplinary hospital complex. The complex is just 19 Kms from the Dhaka International Airport.  The medium of teaching is in English. There are four hostels available for both local and International students. Two hostels are for local and two for foreign students. The hostels are supervised by the Delta college authorities.
