Dr. Sirajul Islam Medical College
Medical education in Bangladesh is lagging far behind to fulfill the national requirement even in this 21st century. Every year a large number of students willing to build their career in the field of medical science, are unfortunately deprived from the opportunity of getting admitted in the medical colleges of Bangladesh due to inadequate seats. In this context, Dr. Sirajul Islam Medical College (Dr.SIMC) is a humble initiative to provide scope for these candidates to study medical science and contribute to the health sector development of Bangladesh.
Aim: The aim of Dr. SIMC is to produce diverse and vibrant medical graduates to provide highly competent doctors to the country.
Objective: To provide appropriate learning environment where medical students will acquire sound theoretical and practical knowledge, to conduct research in the field of medicine and to raise the standard of medical education in the country.
An academic calendar is provided to every student to help him/her understand the schedule for the whole year. Every student is also assigned to a particular member of the faculty for guidance regarding individual problems.
A beautifully developed modern campus with well-equipped academic and hospital buildings is the eye catching landmark of the locality. The college campus consists of a 12 storied modern academic building attached with a 21 storied and 500 bedded hospital at the heart of the Dhaka City.
Course & Eligibility
- In 12th class percentage should be 60%
- NEET Score must be for General Categories - 134 Marks & For Reserved Categories - 107 Marks
In 2021, NEET cutoff passing marks for general category is 720-138, while for SC/ST/OBC it is 137-108.

Hostel Description
At Dr. SIMC, there are separate hostel accommodation available for both local and foreign students. The hostel building for foreign students is within a short walking distance from the college campus. The entire 5 storied hostel complex for foreign students can accommodate fifty students. The building has well furnished rooms with a separate kitchen in each floor. It ensures an excellent, safe & peaceful environment for the students to study. Moreover, the hostel also provides recreational facilities both in the common room and even outdoors, as the building is enclosed with a beautiful lawn at the entrance of the complex. There is a cafeteria and strong security arrangement in the hostel.
