Kharkiv International Medical University (KhIMU)
The Kharkiv International Medical University provides the specialization in the field of 22 “Health Care”, at the medical faculty specializing in “Medicine” (222). The term of study is of 6 years, and it is a full-time course. KhIMU has accredited as the highest IV degree level accreditation.
The six-year medical studies in English allow students to enroll in the University directly from high secondary school. The program is designed for students who are strongly motivated, have a good command of both written and spoken English and interest in medical science.
Except for the fact that instructions, labs, lectures and examinations are conducted in English, the curriculum of the six-year medical studies in English is completely identical with the coursework pursued by Ukrainian medical students. Learning Ukrainian language is also available during the first two years of the program. Students are offered to learn Ukrainian in order to be able to communicate with the patients and in order to avoid the misunderstanding of the patients from the third year onwards.
Course & Eligibility
- PCB percentage should be 60% and above. English marks should 60 and above. Minimum Age to apply is 17 years by 31st Dec of the admission year.
- NEET Score must be for General Categories (2020) - 147 Marks & For Reserved Categories - 113 Marks

The Library of Kharkiv International Medical University was founded in 2018 as a structural unit that assists students and teachers in teaching, work, leisure, and research. The library fund is disciplinary, multi-scientific and multilingual. The library stores scientific literature and textbooks in Ukrainian, English, and Russian.
At the beginning of its development, the university library had several copies, which reached 700, and which is now constantly replenished and supplemented. Every studying day, students have at their disposal a comfortable modern reading room with the possibility to use computer equipment for the educational process or personal needs. Like the entire university, the library has constant access to Wi-Fi, which will make your stay here as productive as possible.
Hostel Description
The hostel rooms are available at KhIMU to offer temporary accommodation to international, non-resident students, interns, graduate students till the end of academic tenure. Dormitory of the University is administered by the Code of Ukraine, educational legislation, internal guidelines and the regulations of the University.
International students are provided with dormitory rooms on a general basis and on mutual sharing with Ukrainian students. Accommodations of outsiders in the student's dormitory and placements of different organizations or institutes are strictly prohibited.

The Medical Faculty of the KhiMU primarily focuses on training doctors in such a way that they can comply with the educational standard of the higher professional education in the specialty “Medicine”. The Medicine faculty is the specialty at KhiMU and it is a 5 years 10 months certification.
During the first 1st year basic, medical-biological and pre-clinical disciplines are studied. This deeply includes the study of subjects like physics, chemistry, biology, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, histology, informatics, and pathological anatomy.
From the 2nd year, students get to practice in the clinic and learn all the basics. Here they learn the basics of patient care for therapy and surgical profile. Students also get to practice as a nurse’s assistant. From the 3rd year introduction to clinical disciplines begin. This study includes general surgery, radiology, propaedeutics of internal diseases, operative surgery, and hygiene.
