Introduction
It was established in 2001, within the umbrella of Kumudini Welfare Trust and the aim of the college is to materialize the dream of the founder by enrolling enthusiastic, dedicated, and academically gifted female students, who can pursue their education which meets their needs and responds to the demand and opportunities of medicine, science, ethics and public policy. Therefore, KWMC recruits academically outstanding and culturally diverse students from Bangladesh and other countries. They create a richly supportive environment in which all students can attain their educational goals.
It is committed to providing excellent medical education programs that make skilled, compassionate, and caring physicians who are proficient in the science and art of medicine, also dedicated to the ethical and social principles of the profession and committed to a lifetime of continued learning.
This college is implementing a well-designed curriculum for MBBS and BDS courses which is approved by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council. Moreover, the college is well-equipped with adequate facilities for utilizing modern and effective instructional teaching-learning methods and helps in accordance with the curriculum. The academic environment of the college takes care of the development of the faculties for improving their quality of education via continuous monitoring and rigorous evaluation system. Both colleges and hospitals have good physical infrastructure which provides appropriate spaces for lectures, demonstrations, tutorials, practical and bedside clinical teaching. Also, it is having well-equipped laboratories, tutorial rooms for small group discussions, one spacious dissection hall, a museum, a library with wide reading rooms, students’ common room, canteen, and fair price shop.

Course & Eligibility
- Candidate must have passed their 10+2(sr. secondary education) with minimum 50% (45% for reserved category) marks with PCB from any recognized board
Admission will be on the basis of the marks
obtained in the entrance exam (NEET).

- Library: - the college library is named upon the Prof. M. A. Jalil and situated on the first floor of the building. It provides seating for 150 students at one time and remains open from 8.00 am to 9.00 pm on all working days. In addition to this, qualified librarians and their assistants run the library by maintaining a calm, disciplined and quiet environment for study. For teachers, there is a separate reading rooms and library is having a sufficient number of academic and reference books of different discipline and specialities which also includes medicine and scientific journals and international periodicals. Moreover, in the library all the books are duly indexed and cataloged for students’ efficiency. Also, the teachers are able to meet the demand for ready references for ongoing research activities. Furthermore, the library also includes photocopying in sustainable prizes and also equipped with computers and an internet facility for browsing references and e-books, etc.
- Sports: - The institute has both indoor and outdoor sports facilities on the campus like table tennis, basketball, volleyball, swimming pool, etc.
- Labs: - The institute has a well-equipped lab on the campus with modern equipment and tools.
- Computer lab: - The institute has a well-equipped computer lab on the campus with the latest computer machines and tools.
- Gym: - The institute has a gym on the campus with modern machines and tools like dumbbells, treadmill.
Hostel Description
The institute is fully residential and has adequate accommodation for all their enrolled students. In hostels, there are separate dining rooms, study rooms, and clubrooms. In total there are 5 hostels with 1011 seats and one of the hostels is for foreign students with air conditioners and refrigerators. One modern hostel complex is under construction which accommodates 1440 students.
