Masaryk University is the second largest university in the Czech Republic, a member of the Compostela Group and the Utrecht Network. Founded in 1919 in Brno as the second Czech university, it now consists of ten faculties and 35,115 students.

Halls of Residence
University halls of residence provide students with accommodation throughout their studies. The MU Accommodation and Catering Services (SKM MU) are tasked with the administration of a total of 10 accommodation facilities, which provide facilities such as gyms and other sports facilities, computer rooms, TV and common rooms, table tennis halls and services such as internet access.
