Introduction

The establishment of the institute is to imparting medical education leading to a recognized medical degree that was taken as the first and foremost aim of the institute. This college starts functioning from 2008-2009 sessions by the admission of 50 students and the Rajshahi University granted affiliation to the college on 1st Nov 2010.

The Medical and Dental Council of Bangladesh recognized this college on 6th June 2010 and 1st professional exam was held in July 2010 under Rajshahi University which is after completing two years of course studies. At present, the 6th batch is studying in the college. The Rajshahi University and the Ministry of Health are pleased with academic performances and increased their number of seats to 50 to 125.

Recently, the college is having 25000 sq. ft. floor space on each floor in their new 7 storied academic building with adequate parking facilities. All departments are set-up in the building with tutorial classrooms, laboratories, museums, office rooms, libraries, conference rooms, and lecture galleries. The hospital is attached to the college for a tertiary care referral facility and also provides excellent training to students and junior doctors and paramedics. The hospital is 750 bedded and well equipped. It provides quality health care at a reasonable cost to the public and the entire staff of the hospital is very dedicated to excellence and their services.
