Introduction
The SSR Medical College is producing world class medical graduates for the last 20 years, and is also the first medical
college of Mauritius. It has produced more than 1600 MBBS graduates till date. MBBS graduates by
now, who are proudly working with sterling success in top hospitals / medical
institutions of the world in various countries viz. Mauritius, India, USA, UK, Canada,
Ireland, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia,
South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya, UAE, Nepal, Sri Lanka, etc.
It speaks of our quality education that one of our MBBS Graduates, Dr. Bharatraj Kidambi has topped in the D.M. (Cardiology)
exams-2020, at the All India Institute
of Medical Sciences, (AIIMS) New Delhi.
The College is situated almost in the middle of Mauritius
near the central town of Curepipe about 15 km from the airport and same
distance from the Capital city of Port Louis.
The College is affiliated to the University of Mauritius,
which is the degree awarding body. (Location of the College can be viewed on
Google Maps). And recognized by the Medical Council of Mauritius (M.C.M.).

Course & Eligibility
minimum eligibility for admission to mbbs:
CBSE/ICSE/State Board Students: Aggregate 60% marks at class
12 in Physics, Chemistry , Biology and/or English
South African Board Students: Aggregate 60% marks at class 12 in Physical
Sciences, Life Sciences and English
Senior Cambridge/A-Level Students: Total 22 Points in
Science Subjects & English(Grade A=10; B=8, C=6 & D=4 points)

At the time of Interview, you are required to produce the
following documents in original. You are also required to submit two
photocopies of each of these documents with the Application Form.
- Copy of e-invitation/interview letter sent to you or copy
of Your Electronic Application Form
- Proof of having studied class 10+2 / A level or equivalent
exam in India / other country ( Copy of class 12 mark sheet, (minimum aggregate
60% marks in Physical Sciences+ Biology +English) issued by the respective Govt
recognised Education Board of that Country).
or Statement of Marks of qualifying examination (Intermediate/
Class 12 / Plus two/A Level or Equivalent) issued by the Board / University and
not by the Principal of the Institution.
- Four (4) recent passport-size photographs with your name
written on back side.
- Photocopy of first and last 2 pages of your valid
Passport.
- Conduct & character certificate from the Head of the
institution in which you have studied Class 12 / A level or equivalent
- Transfer certificate from the Institution you have studied
last.
- Proof of your date of birth/History of illness/Operation,
and certificate that you do not suffer from epilepsy or any other disease
causing fit/depression, if any
- Financial Capability cft for the amount of Registration

- An affidavit in the format given below signed by you and
countersigned by your parent/guardian in the presence of Notary Public on Rs.

The Principal
of the SSR Medical College is Dr.S.Shukla, who has teaching experience of more
than 20 years and before taking up the assignment was the Addl. Principal of
the Govt. Medical College, Kota, Rajasthan.
The faculty of
the college has been selected from teachers graduated and teaching at the most
reputed institutions like Oxford, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences
(AIIMS) Delhi, PGIs, Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, JIPMER, Pondicherry,
St. John's Medical College, Bangalore, University of Hong Kong and other
reputed institutions. It speaks of the promise and prestige of the SSR Medical
